We have a lot of allergies in our family. I purchased this 1/2 gallon 11 months ago and have appreciated Penn Hills’ quality every day. We make our hand wash, body wash, and shampoo. Our skin is noticeably softer. Penn Hills Castile soap has helped tremendously. It is easy to store and mix into your DIY products. The last 6 oz was used today, and it’s just as great as the first 6 oz of product. The shelf life is excellent. We highly recommend Penn Hills Products. We just opened our first whole gallon today and just bought another gallon to make products for other family members. Thank you, Penn Hill

Thank you for your feedback. I am so glad our products are working well for you. Have you thought of adding fresh lemon juice to the vinegar rinse, or trying to rinse your hair with lemon juice instead of vinegar? Just a thought. If you try it, let me know how it works for you.

I am very sensitive to various soaps and detergents such as shampoos and this soap makes perfect shampoo for me. I mix one cup of it with 2.5 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil and use about one tablespoon of the mixture to wash my hair. After washing, I rinse my hair with vinegar mixed with water and then thoroughly rinse with just plain water to remove the vinegar smell. The result is absolutely fantastic. I have been doing this for years and cannot be more pleased. This is very high quality soap — the best I have ever found.

By the way, one of the lawyers where I work was so impressed with the way my hair looks that he started washing his own hair with the unscented bar soap sold by Penns Hill and then he also uses a vinegar and water rinse. His hair looks the best it has ever look and the soap makes his hair look full and soft and shiny — this is great because he is balding a bit and this soap makes him look his best.

Every now and then, perhaps once every couple of weeks or once a month, both of us also use about a tablespoon of baking soda to wash our hair and then follow this with a soap wash and of course the vinegar and water rinsing routine. This removes any residue that has built up and keeps our hair looking great. A boar bristle brush is part of our routine because it does enhance hair shine even more. It’s amazing what natural products can do.

I love this soap, I use it for everything. I’m allergic to coconut and this is a perfect product for me. I make my own laundry detergent, dishwasher soap and dish soap, I use this in all those things. It’s perfect for me. Thank you for making a pure soap that MCS people can use.
